The RSL level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Arts is a two year, level 3 qualification. It is equivalent to 3 A Level grades which means when you have finished the course you can go onto higher education. Students often go on to study Dance and Performance studies at specialist Colleges or University.

The structure of the structure of the RSL level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Arts, involves the completion of 13 separate units. To successfully pass this qualification you must complete every unit.

Specialist units are designed specifically for your Musical Theatre course. To create an all round performer.

Each academic year at the college is divided into three terms. Throughout the six half terms on this two year course you will be equipped with technique classes that run alongside project work and underpin your skills and your theoretical and industry knowledge.

The project units are specifically chosen to equip you with a diverse and comprehensive understanding of different theatre/art forms and performance demands. These will range from Developing Dance skills and techniques, Repertoire, choreography, singing, acting techniques and Performance.

The first year of study will cover dance technique assessments, dance choreography modules, singing and vocal techniques and performance at the end of your first year.

When you return in the 2nd year student you will look deeper into dance and musical theatre techniques and start preparing for your performance project and preparing for auditions for higher education and employment.
